Janine Jop

Janine Jop( Mexico) is a musician and interdisciplinary artist. She is interested in collaborative work, artistic practice-based research, site-specific and transdisciplinary processes. As a performer (violin) and composer, her focus lies in experimental music and improvisation, combining theatre-performance or narrative elements, both as a soloist and in collective projects.  She graduated from the Master's Program in Contemporary Performance and Composition (CoPeCo), which spans four different institutions in Estonia, Sweden, France, and Germany. Janine has also performed at festivals in Peru, Chile and Ecuador and has been an artist in residence at Córtex Frontal (Portugal), Medienfrische Festival (Austria), Copperleg Residency (Estonia) and Sounds like a book (Romania).
