Zlata Zhidkova

Zlata Zhidkova is a sound artist based in Graz. With background in classical flute and philology she is now studying Computermusic and Soundart in IEM. Zlata is interested in “unexpress-ed/-able/-ing”, putting inexplicable things on the surface and inducing eerie airy textures. She works with sound environments and soundscapes, building multichannel playable systems and interfaces. In her practice she also explores sounding objects and materials, by directly interacting with them in the scale of a human being. Zlata has performed at several events, like, International Computermusic Conference (SEOUL 2024), Zentral Waescherei (TILT), Sound Campus (ARS ELECTRONICA 2023), and participated in group projects during AMALGAM exhibition (Steirische herbst2024), Prague Quadrennial 2023, STWST COLD HEAVEN & NOPE (ARS ELECTRONICA 2023&2024).
